Microsoft making Bing available to iPhone Developers

Microsoft have announced that they are developing a software wrapper of their search engine Bing for iPhone developers. The wrapper which has been coded in objective c and is being tested will enable iPhone developers to make it easier to add the search engine to different applications of theirs.

This news came from Bings senior program manager, Alessandro Catorcini who has also said that the wrapper will be ready for developers within a few weeks. Alessandro also went on to say “Right now, there is an unneeded step to climb to integrate Bing results in your iPhone app but we want to make that smooth,” and that “We want to make it as easy as link [a] library, create an object — bam — you’re done.”
I am sure many developers will update their applications with this bit of code to enhance their app.
