Sometimes I run across a product that is so simple, so ‘obvious’, that i wonder why I didn’t think of it first. The MovieWedge is one of these products.

The MovieWedge is basically a beanbag chair for your iPhone. That’s it. A beanbag. Told you it was simple.

Before the MovieWedge, I always just laid the iPhone down on my desk while it was plugged into the USB port on the back of my monitor. Now, I have it propped up at an angle so I can easily see the screen. And the angle is infinitely adjustable because of the soft, moldable bag design. And there is a tubular base for resting the bottom edge of the phone that helps prevent it from sliding off.

The MovieWedge works great in horizontal mode, but I would have preferred a slightly larger design that could properly support the iPhone in vertical mode. As it is, it’s very unstable vertically. But hey, it is called MOVIEWedge, isn’t it? When was the last time you saw a vertical movie screen?

The MovieWedge is something I’m going to be using a lot because it takes up little room, helps protect the iPhone from getting scratched sliding around on your desk, and allows for video viewing while sitting at your desk. Sometimes it’s the simple things that are the coolest.
