iPod Touch jailbreak tool)

blackra1n, the free iPhone / iPod Touch jailbreak tool for Windows / Mac, is probably the easiest program ever to use if you’d like to enable installation of non-AppStore apps on your device.

After downloading blackra1n (below), all you need to do is run it, click on “let it rain”, connect your device, and BAM! your iPhone or iPod Touch is now jailbreaked.

Tip: after this run the newly installed blackra1n app on your device and through it you can install Cydia, a library of free and paid native apps for the iPhone.

This version RC3 of blackrain supports all the iPhones (2G, 3G, 3GS) and iTouches (1G, 2G, 3G) out there and all existing firmware versions, from v1.0 to the latest v3.1.2.

…but according to its creator, George Hotz: “If your itouch2/iphone 3GS/ipod touch3 is rebooting into recovery after running blackra1n, this isn’t a bug. It’s a feature. You need to run blackra1n every time to boot it. This ‘feature’, called tethered jailbreak, is enabled by upgrades Apple made to the bootrom and the fact ipt3 uses nand flash.”

Works well on my 32Gb 3Gs but my daughters 8Gb 3Gs iPhone keeps crashing Chuffed with my Jailbroken phone but annoyed with daughters.

I did this whole Jailbreak thing, and it worked. i was on it for a while looking at the apps and stuff, then all of a sudden my iphone just turned off. and now it wont turn back on.. does anyone know what is wrong with me phone? EY, 3.1.3 is unjailbreakable. You need to downgrade to 3.1.2 (which is jailbreakable) then you download Blackra1n. You open the program and you hit (let it rain) from there on i will be fine. If I were you, watch this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7DnqOS1njU) He is 100% trustable.

Okay so, I've downloaded firmwire and the blackra1n thing is in my computer and when i click it it says Open with … and all these programs show up i picked itunes and it never did anything !! WTF and im sure ive got the latest itunes thing

it happened with the exact thing i say DONT jail brake ur whatever it is because it will mess it up
what i did was connected it to itunes and while it was doing that held in the power and home button (this may take quite a few times)
but it works my ipod is fine now just dont jail brake it again

if you hold the power off button it will turn on in about a minute
