Apple iPhone at the Top of the List

Today, Nielsen released data showed that the iPhone was the most popular mobile device of in 2009. If you look at the data you will see that the BlackBerry and LG models together outsold the iPhone. The most popular mobile device still is the iPhone which is only sold in one model and only one carrier AT&T while their competition has all kinds of phone models and carriers. The results of the survey do not inlcude Google’s Android or Motorola’s Droid.
The ranking for January to October 2009 is as follows:
1. Apple 3G iPhone
2. RIM BlackBerry 8300 Series
3. Motoroal RAZR V3 Series
4. LG VX9100
5. LG Voyager
6. Samsung SPH-M540
7. RIM BlackBerry 9530 Series
8. LG VX9700
9. LG Vu Series
10. RIM BlackBerry 8100 Series
The Applie iPhone had a share of “4% embedded base of all subscribers.”
Other data released showed the most popular internet destinations to be Google, Yahoo, and YouTube. Other websites hot spots were Google, Yahoo Mail, Gmail, the Weather Channel, Facebook, MSN Hotmail, Google Maps, ESPN, AOL Email, and CNN News. Top ten brands accessed by cell phone users was Yahoo, Google, Mircrosoft, AOL, the Weather Channel, Facebook, CNN, Fox, ESPN, and Apple in the line up. The top video channel was of course YouTube with others following including Fox, Weather Channel, Comedy Central,CBS, ABC, MTV, NBC, EXPN, and E!.
