It’s common knowledge that the Apple iPhone and the Apple iPod Touch can’t play all the different audio formats out there. That’s why developers came up with audio converters for these devices. Some of them cost money, yet some of them are free.

Audioro belongs to the latter category: it’s an audio converter for iPhone / iPod Touch that is adware/donationware (it displays ads and has a link to donate to its authors), and as such is free to download and use.

This iPhone audio converter is able to convert most audio files (including .MRA, .MP2, .WAV, .AIFF and others) into an iPhone compatible audio format.

Not only that, but it can also rip and convert audio from most video files out there (including .DIVX, .AVI, .FLV, .VOB, .MPEG and others) into a format that your iPhone/iTouch will be able to play… this feature is great for converting music videos into music files.

The interface is pretty simple to use (although it could be improved), and you can set quality (bitrate) and output format (.MP3 or .AAC) options according to your liking.

The encoding process itself is pretty fast, while the converted audio files are automatically imported into iTunes.

This audio converting program is available for both Windows and Mac computers.
