Apple iPhone 4G to feature a 5 megapixel camera? Rumour!
December 29, 2009 by Brian
iPhone 4G will feature a 5 megapixel camera — or at least that’s what the latest online rumour says.
Although not officially announced yet, the upcoming Apple iPhone 4G (over which a Chinese Apple subsidiary employee apparently committed suicide a few months back after losing its prototypes) is rumoured to have a 5 megapixel camera — a clear improvement over the 2/3.2 MP modules found in previous iPhone models.

This rumour comes from Taiwan-based technology insider website Digitimes, that claims to have received information regarding Apple securing a contract with Taiwan-based OmniVision Technologies for 40-45 million (!!!) 5 megapixel CMOS image sensors for the nextgen iPhone 4G.
According to the website, the nextgen Apple iPhone 4G will be released in the summer of 2010.
