December 31, 2009 by Brian
Now that 2009, a rather complex and unpredictable year is leaving us, at least we can take some comfort in knowing a few quite possible iPhone related events for 2010.
So what will be the newsmaking events in iPhone (and Apple) news for the year 2010 (year of the Tiger)?
iPhone World scoured the web for you, and here are the most likely events to happen next year in the iPhone universe.
#1 Our #1 prediction is that despite all the competition next year Apple will sell the largest amount of iPhones yet.

#2 Apple will launch the iPhone 4G (that will apparently feature a 5 megapixel camera – link) in the summer of 2010.
#3 Due to be announced in a few months is the 8GB iPhone 3GS — that will probably replace the lower-end iPhone 3G line of products – link.
#4 Apple will be announcing an “iTablet” – a touchscreen based iPhone-like computer/netbook/phone hybrid (depending on who you ask) as early as next month, according to industry insiders.
#5 iPhone apps and iPhone AppStore will become a major internet security threat this year, according to McAfee Labs – link.
What do you think will be the other major events of 2010 when it comes to Apple and the iPhone? Leave us a comment!
