Diageo recently announced they are going to beef up marketing to U.S iPhone owners and middle-aged women to help with sales. One great way they are going to get attention of the American woman is the new iPhone app that will allow them to learn new recipes to create with various liquors.
The new app will allow users to scan the barcode of a Tanqueray gin or Smirnoff, then recipes will be provided that uses that liquor. Cocktail recipes will so easy to find that these liquors should start selling better and faster than other liquors. The app is not available yet, but you can begin licking your lips for the introduction of 10 new vodka based products including a chocolate vodka.
Another great app for women is the Dinner Spinner Pro that will allow users to access the Allrecipes.com library to find new delightful recipes. The app will go as far as to let users create shopping lists, add their own recipes, upload photos, share recipes, and even more. Using the iphone to help in creating new dishes will certainly be a time saver for many and will even aid in more nutritious meals.
The first app was seen in December 2008 and has seen more than 2.8 million downloads. This is a paid app that offers enhanced features for only $2.99. AllRecipes is not only looking at iPhone users but will also be releasing a special optimized-for-a-large-screen for the iPad.
