Download: greenpois0n RC4 iOS 4.1 jailbreak (now supports iTouch 2G) [Windows / Mac]

The Chronic Dev Team have released a new RC4 version of their Greenpois0n jailbreak for iOS 4.1 powered iPhones, iPad and iPod Touch devices.

The big news about greenpois0n RC4, is that this release finally adds support to the iTouch 2G, a feature that was requested by many people.

So now greenpois0n supports: iPhone 3GS and 4G, iPod Touch 2G, 3G and 4G, as well as the iPad.

Apart of that, there is “a small difference in the ramdisk”, while the Mac version of greenpois0n was updated for better OSX 10.5 compatibility.

Currently greenpoison RC4 is only available for Mac and Windows machines, but the Linux version should be following soon.
UPDATE: Greenpois0n RC4 for LINUX with iTouch 2G is NOW available!

STANDARD NOTES FOR USING GREENPOIS0N

#1) Save your iPhone’s SHSH blobs with TinyUmbrella before you do anything. Otherwise you might not be able to keep your jailbreak when iOS 4.2 comes out.
#2) If you rely on ultrasn0w to unlock your device do not upgrade to iOS 4.1 and don’t use this greenpois0n version as there’s no working unlock hack for iOS 4.1 yet.

    Wont work for me, anyone know why?
    I've jailbreaked it on 4.1 ipod touch 2g MC but I cannot load apps. I get the message “The application xxxx was not installed on the Ipod xxxx because it's not signed”

    help. every time i download a program like this my computer won’t open it. it just brings up itunes then nothing happens and i can’t access it with itunes. its done this with greenpoison, redsnow, and snowbreeze

    i have the exact same iPod running on 4.1 but all it does is come up with a black screen with a lot of white letters. why wont it work?

    Make sure you unzip it first

    Try to restore your firmware before you do it via DFU or so as a last resort.

    Just unzip the file…. it’s in .zip archive now, unzip it and run the .dmg file…

    What you’ve downloaded is a .zip archive file.

    Sometimes itunes opens them by default.

    So try:

    #1) Download the file to your computer by right clicking it and selecting to “save as”.
    #2) Unzip the file.
    #3) Run the resulting .DMG file to start the program.

    Just make a backup, then upgrade to iOS 4.1, THEN run greenpois0n.

    Katrina don’t worry jus go onto itunes and click restore ipod then it will reset your ipod back to the factory settings

    ive run this and followed all the steps, had a blackscreen with all the white writing comming down then it said jailbreak complete, but cydia wasn’t installed..
    i have an ipod touch 2nd g, MC model running 4.1 firmware, any pointers would be greatly appreciated!
