How to: jailbreak iPhone 3G / 3GS / 4 iOS 4.1 with Pwnage Tool (Mac)

If you’re looking for instructions / guide / tutorial on how you could jailbreak your iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 on firmware 4.1, you’ve come to the right place, as iPhoneWorld.ca has “how to” instructions for that.
The guide below will allow you to jailbreak your iPhone, iPad or iTouch with pwnage tool for Mac along with links to relevant tools.
Jailbreaking your iDevice will allow you to install unauthorized third part apps, iPhone unlock hacks, and managers for these unauthorized programs, such as Cydia.
Below are instructions using which you could jailbreak your iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad or iTouch (iOS 4.1) using the Pwnage Tool 4.1.1.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR IOS 4.1 JAILBREAK WITH PWNAGE TOOL
#1 – Make sure you backup your iPhone / iTouch / iPd via iTunes.
#2 – Download TinyUmbrella and make an SHSH blob save – this will be useful for future jailbreaks of upcoming iOS firmware version.
#3 – Download Pwnage Tool 4.1.2 for Mac.
#4 – Launch Pwnage Tool
#5 – Select “expert” mode
#6 – Select the iPhone icon.
#7 – Proceed with the screen to select your iDevice’s firmware.
#8 – Select “general” packages in the next step, and choose to “hacktivate” your device if you will be using it unlocked.
#9 – Click on “build” to build your custom iOS firmware.
#10 – Then you will need to enter your device into “DFU mode” following the instructions on screen.Once this process is done, your iPhone will be jailbreaked and you’ll see Cydia on your springboard upon rebooting your device.
While this iPhone jailbreak method might have sounded too long, make sure you follow each step of the way in order to have a bugs-free and jailbreaked iPhone / iPad / iTouch running iOS 4.1
