If you’re looking for a guide on how to to unlock your iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.1 with basebands 5.14.02 or 5.14.04 you’re at the right place. You’ll also be able to unlock iOS 4.2.1 with baseband 06.15.00 on these devices (but not the iPhone 4 – read below).
The iPhone Dev Team has released a new version of redsn0w, redsn0w 0.9.6b5 that will allow you to jailbreak your device and Ultrasn0w 1.2 to unlock it.
The video guide for unlocking is below and here’s the software you’ll need to download for this unlock:
- redsn0w 0.9.6b5 (download links)
- iOS 4.1 or iOS 4.2.1 (download links here)
P.S. Keep in mind that Ultrasn0w 1.2 can only unlock the iPhone 3G and 3GS at the moment. If you’re an iPhone 4 owner, wait for an updated Ultrasn0w version that will be able to support it.
P.P.S.This video guide covers the Windows version of redsn0w, but should apply to Mac version as well.
