How to enable cellular data settings in iPhone’s menu using Supreme Preferences and WinterBoard apps [VIDEO GUIDE]

December 9, 2010 by Daniel

Only a few folks out there are aware of the fact that the iPhone’s settings menu has a hidden option for changing advanced cellular data settings on the fly (which is something that you’d normally use Apple’s iPhone Configuration Utility to achieve, using your computer).

It’s hidden from prying eyes, but you can enable it fairly easily by using the Supreme Preferences and WinterBoard apps / hacks (both are available in Cydia, which implies that you need to jailbreak your iPhone first). There you can change APN’s for your iPhone’s cellular data, MMS and other settings.

This video tutorial guide below will show you how to do that exactly.

I just attempted this 3 times in exactly the format and steps you display in the video.
My iPhone is a 16G 3GS on 4.2.1 firmware running the 06.15.00 baseband for the UltrasnOw 1.2 unlock to work.
When I add the source (exsellize) and install Supreme Preferences, Winterboard automatically is installed upon reboot. So, following the directions, I simply go in and select SP and exit to respring.
There is NOT a Supreme Preferences tab in my settings after this even though the setting icon is different as you describe.
    What am I doing wrong?

I have the same problem. Supreme Preferences doesn’t appear in the settings. Is that something related with this new unlock 06.15.00??

I also have the same problem with my 4g running on 4.2.1, BB 02.10.04. It didn’t load the option of supreme preferences 3.0 in Setting> General as how it did on a 4.1 firmware. Is supreme preferences 3.0 compatible with firmware 4.2.1?
