iPhone 5 to be launched in September 2011?
July 2, 2011 by Jordan
If the latest rumor is to be believed, the iPhone 5 should be launched by Apple in September.
This rumour comes from Taiwan based Digitimes, who are writing that according to their sources in Taiwanese and
Chinese electronics industries, the following companies will be shipping parts and providing services for manufacturing the iPhone 5 and iPad 3 to Apple:
Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry), Simplo Technologies and Dynapack International Technology, TPK Holding and Wintek, Catcher, and Largan Precision.
These companies will be supplying everything from assembly lines to actual components to Apple for the upcoming product launches.
According to sources in these companies who preferred to stay anonymous, the production will begin in limited quantities in August, while the volume of units to be manufactured will sharply rise in September.

By simple calculations, it would take at least a few weeks for iPhones to make their way from China to distribution points across the world, and as such it seems that September is a logical date for the iPhone 5 and iPad 3 to be launched.
