Latest iPhone 5 News & Rumours Compilation
September 9, 2012 by dennis
Now that we are closer than ever to the official iPhone 5 announcement date (scheduled for September 12, 2012), a lot of related news/rumors are trickling in. Below is the latest collection of thereof.
“iPhone 5 is the next Apple iPhone’s official name,” reports The Examiner in an apparent contrast with the iPhone 4S and “the New iPad” naming conventions.
“Apple won’t be using Samsung memory chips in iPhone 5,” writes The Examiner, and this means that Apple is moving into the next phase of its corporate war with the Korean hi-tech giant manufacturer, following its recent successful $1 billion+ litigation against Samsung in the USA. After all, it’s no secret that Samsung’s components account for a large percentage of iDevices’ insides.
“Apple’s iPhone 5 may have 40% more battery life as compared to the iPhone 4S,” reports PCWorld, citing a research that credits in-cell display technology with allowing for screens that allow more space for other components. And an iPhone 5 with Motorola Droid MAXX’s battery capacity definitely would not dissapoint!
“Will the iPhone 5 work on worldwide 4G LTE bands?” Apparently the answer is yes, but some carriers’ network frequencies will not be supported anyway, writes Mashable.
And how could we pass on “Apple’s new banners for its upcoming iPhone 5 launch event“, posted at Buena Yerba conference center where Apple’s new products are routinely unveiled?
